Student Success and Future Readiness
Students need strong skills in reading, writing, math and other core subjects. They should also be prepared for a changing world shaped by AI, technology and new career opportunities.
Commitment
I support a strong focus on academic achievement, critical thinking, practical skills and preparation for university, college, skilled trades and the workforce.
Schools should focus on education.
High Standards in Education
Students should receive high-quality instruction focused on core skills, academic achievement and preparation for life after graduation.
Commitment
Schools should encourage critical thinking and help students understand different perspectives, while avoiding political or ideological advocacy in the classroom.
The provincial curriculum is set by Ontario. A trustee's role is to support strong implementation, accountability and a clear focus on student learning.
Families have an important role in their children's values and upbringing.
Parents as Primary Guides
Parents are the primary guides of their children's values, beliefs and traditions. Families deserve clear information, meaningful consultation and respect for their role in raising and guiding their children.
Commitment
Parents should understand what their children are learning and have a genuine opportunity to ask questions and raise concerns.
Inclusivity also matters. Every student and family should feel safe, respected and welcome at school, while schools meet Ontario curriculum and legal requirements.

Students learn best when they feel safe, respected and supported.
Commitment
I support appropriate attention to student well-being, mental health, special education, early support and safe learning environments, while respecting the rights and dignity of all students.

Accountability and Smart Planning
Trustees have a responsibility to oversee priorities, resources and long-term planning.
Commitment
I support evidence-based decisions, responsible use of public resources and measurable results, including careful planning for enrolment, school facilities, boundaries and transportation.
