A trustee is not a teacher, principal or school administrator. It is a governance and community representation role.
A complementary perspective
I don't claim to know more about teaching than teachers, and I respect their expertise. What I bring is leadership, technology, business experience, stakeholder management, problem-solving and a strong focus on accountability and measurable results.
Trustees should ask clear questions, understand the evidence, listen to families, and make responsible decisions that keep student achievement and well-being at the centre.
Trustees are expected to:
